Snuffy's Prairie (9 images)
This prairie is actually in Carpentersville, Illinois. These photos were taken on a fearsomely cold day right after a major snowfall. The rich brown and red hues from the oak leaves and dead field flowers provided some much needed color for an otherwise starched landscape.
